On June 25, 2013 Judge Executive Donnie Carroll presented service awards to employees who had been serving Hopkins County for 5, 10, and 15 years.
The following employees received 5 year service awards: Kathy Williams and Diana Wardfor their service to the Hopkins County Jail.
The following employees received 10 year service awards: Candace Ashby for her service to the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office and Timmy Tapp for his service to the Hopkins County Road Department.
The following employees received 15 year service awards: John Holmes for his service to the Hopkins County Road Department and Karon Wise for her service to the Hopkins County Sanitation Department.

Storm Shelter Registry
The Hopkins County Storm Shelter Registry is a voluntary program initiated by the First Responder Advisory Board and Hopkins County Fiscal Court Public Safety Committee. The purpose of the registry is to provide a database of storm shelter locations in Hopkins County to assist emergency responders in providing aid to victims in the event of a weather‐related emergency. This registry will be used to map all storm shelter locations.
This registry will be used as a tool for emergency responders in locating and assisting residents that may have been trapped in their storm shelters by severe weather debris. Our goal is to find new and inventive ways to care for the citizens of Hopkins County. We want to make this a
safe place for your family to live.
How to Participate
We encourage anyone with a safe room or storm shelter to register by using the online registration form, or contact the Hopkins County GIS Department at 270‐825‐7013. Please be prepared to provide a name, phone number, email, address, shelter location (i.e. back yard, front yard, garage, etc…), and shelter type (safe room, in‐ground, basement).
Privacy
Your storm shelter information will not be shared or distributed for any reason other than to aid Hopkins County Emergency Responders.
